Libellule Villa
The concept of Dragonfly house comes from the image of a dragonfly. Indeed, the house like a dragonfly rests slightly on the leaves, floating on the surface of a pond of Koi.
With the concept of Koi fish as the origin and center of the design, the plan ceded the entire land area to the water surface. It is likely a secret pond in a natural garden. In that garden, the presence of the villa as well as the people will not show off the superficiality. But simply quietly enjoy the wild beauty of a pond in the pristine garden with the koi fishes living nearby with the most natural environment possible.
The project’s approach
The project’s approach leads to the idea of turning the entire land into a water surface. On which there are concrete disks large, small, and of various sizes, and thin like lilies on the water. These concrete plates both serve as the base for the villa and form circular gardens at many levels. Through those gardens, scattered small concrete slabs are just barely enough to form a path leading to different spaces.
A very special feature of this project is the swimming pool. Although the pool water and fish pond water are completely separate, while under the pool, people can still see the koi fish swimming as if they were swimming in the same environment with fish.
Performance
The main direction of the villa area is from the east. The entrance leads to a buffer space. From that you can choose to go to the living room, the kitchen, or the staircase. The maid has a private passage from the west side of the property. To the west of the land is a garden for Koi Fish tea space. To ensure the integrity and integrity, the architecture and landscape of the tea area are in tune with the villa area.
Beautiful and airy views are prioritized for living spaces and family activities. The bedrooms and other private spaces are located on the upper floors to enjoy the airy views. While entertainment spaces such as Karaoke rooms and wine rooms are located underground. The special design of the tempered glass allows the Koi fish swimming in the pond. And people can observe them from the basement entertainment rooms.
The landscape of the Libellule villa
In essence, the design of this villa is a landscape design project because the natural element must have an organic connection with the architecture of the villa. The landscape design is inspired by the Japanese gardens and the famous lilies gardens of Monet in Giverny, France. The flora is extremely diverse and rich, including native plants. They well adapt and create a dense background of vegetation. Many types of flowers such as purple petunia and aquatic grasses create the contour plants. Hydrangeas were chosen as the main plants for floating islands and created large clusters to shade fish. The water surface is decorated with Japanese purple flowers.
Nature around the villa
The two sides of the walkway and sunshades are decorated with purple hydrangeas and purple wisteria vines. Large shade trees used include purple phoenix and Hoang Yen. During the flowering season, the bright blooming flowers bring the garden to alive. Besides, the willow and cherry for the youthful garden in spring. The small courtyards will be decorated with soft-scented wooden flowers such as sapodilla, porcelain, wallflower … We use herbaceous plants such as chrysanthemum and snail scales to shade sun walls and decorate large rocks. Garden sculptures create interesting miniatures. Some sculptures around the Koi fish bring modern and liberal beauty to the whole building. With the idea of a quiet and mysterious fish pond garden, the dragonfly house is a modest, simple work towards high-end amenities for homeowners. They are people who really love nature and enjoy the beauty of the Koi fish.
